Stanek, acclaimed author of the popular books The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches and Journey Beyond the Beyond, has selected an irresistible combination for this age group - lovable critters and baseball. Buster Bee just got back from playing bugsball in Bugville Park with his friends. He's practicing to be a hive helper so he can help his mom and dad. At Bee Hive, the factory where his mom and dad work, he sees the busy, busy Queen Bee. He spills honey. He buzzes around to collect pollen and nectar. When he returns home, he gets into trouble at dinner because he doesn't want to eat his pollen. He'd rather eat nectar and he loves honey much too much. After dinner, he takes time out for bugsball practice. The wonderfully crafted story is paired with energetic voicing of a colorful cast of crittters and playful scenes. This rollicking adventure is sure to be a favorite with the storytime crowd.
